Professor Michael Reade is an intensive care physician and anaesthetist in the Australian Defence Force. And since 2011, seconded to the University of Queensland as the inaugural Professor of Military Medicine and Surgery.
From 2015-2018, he was the Director of Clinical Services the Regular Army’s only field hospital. He now holds the rank of Brigadier, responsible for technical regulation of specialist clinical personnel in the Australian Army.
Professor Reade’s research interests are trauma systems design, fluid resuscitation in trauma, and coagulopathy.
